Monisha serves as the Associate Director, Advocacy and Engagement at the American Nurses Association (ANA). Shemanages the political and advocacy programs for ANA.

Prior to ANA she worked for the Visiting Nurse Associations of America (VNAA) as the Manager of Government Affairs where she advocated on behalf of home health and hospice nurses.

In addition, her background includes working as a congressional staffer for the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship under Chair Mary Landrieu (D-LA) and served in several capacities for her home state Senator Thomas R. Carper (D-DE) including being a part of his staff on the U.S. Senate Committee Homeland Security and Government Affairs
