Aryka Chapman is a State Advocacy Manager for Community Catalyst’s Substance Use Disorders team. In this capacity she works with state partners to advocate for improved programs and policies that address substance use prevention and access to care.

Over the course of her career, Aryka has been committed to social justice issues, particularly HIV/AIDS. Prior to coming to Community Catalyst, Aryka was a consultant working with state and local health departments on policy, systems and environmental change to address population health. 

Aryka studied political science at Trinity College in her hometown of Washington DC. A self-described foodie, when not working, she can be found at a farmers market, community garden or in the kitchen.

Community Catalyst works to ensure consumer interests are represented wherever important decisions about health and the health system are made: in communities, courtrooms, statehouses and on Capitol Hill.
